It contains the ESP32 inside and even adds on a display, keyboard, amplifier, speaker, and battery.

Thus, this device can do countless things. When I received this hardware, I already had software for ESP32 and only ported to the display used in this project, which is different. In today's circuit, I specifically want to emphasize that we have the M5Stack with positive and negative connections, which feeds itself with a DHT22 sensor.

Both are connected by a GPIO. The data is displayed in the chart. In this article, let's introduce M5Stack and discuss its applications. It is shown in the picture above. It also includes a magnet for attaching to metal surfaces. Did you liked M5Stack? Did you use this instructable in your classroom?

In the old days, it was necessary to buy several transistor chips and perform numerous assemblies, which required a lot of time and investment. Only after came the product prototyping.

ESP32: M5Stack With DHT22

It was then that Arduino and Raspberry appeared, which are plates. Now, we finally have the M5Stack, which is this ready-for-use closed box. This liberates us from having to perform other innumerable steps. Other M5Stack models are shown in images. We have a device with alphanumeric, numeric, and game keyboards.

Among the examples of M5Stack applications, we have the oscilloscope, as you can see in the image. All this shows that electronics control is much more affordable these days, just as the programming of these circuits has become easier. The back of the M5Stack is in this image, which shows that the power is at 5 volts. The image further reveals that we have everything that exists in ESP32 with connectivity.

Remember that before all this, you need to install the Arduino core of ESP The only change I made to this project was in relation to the size of the display. We will include the M5Stack. We will also construct an object for communication with the sensor, define the variable responsible for the readings, and indicate the value of the X-axis. We continue with X-axis and Y-axis positioning definitions, temperature and humidity data display coordinates, as well as the variables that will store the values read.

We still point to the variable for printing the chart on the display. In Setup, we initialize the M5Stack. We define commands for drawing the graph, configure the font as well as text colors, and position the cursor for writing.

In the first part of the Loop, we read the temperature and humidity, map the value of the variables for placement on the graph, and draw the point on the screen that refers to these values read from the sensor. m5stack h

Starting with the UIFlow it is a simple program just to test that the motor controls work. In this program it justs loops through the functions: motor0, motor1, motor2 and motor3. The problem is that the program stalls on the first function and does not continue. Motor0 stays on. Could the motor control hardware be defective? I also tried the demo program: BugC. I am using Arduino 1. The compile errors are: bugC. Multiple libraries were found for "SPI. Is there a configuration problem with the BugC.

The M5. Thanks for the reply. Got the Arduino library example to work. Looking forward to a UIFlow fix. M5Stack Community. Register Login. BugC problems This topic has been deleted. I first connected the pins:. The tag was not recognised however. It seems the code never executes past mfrc I then realised as the code was using the I2C protocol I only needed to use the lines associated with I2C so wired up the following from the unit to the stack:.

You did the right thing hooking it up to Vcc 3.

M5Stack Arduino Setup Guide for M5Atom

Thanks so much for the reply. I've tried to wire up the unit as you described. Unfortunately I cannot make use of the groove connector because the jumper wire connectors are too large to all fit in the socket and I don't have any other wires.

Unfortunately, still doesn't get past the println below:. The safest way of an external sensor to communicate with an M5Stack is communicating by I2C. With I2C the master can communicate with up to different slaves. The SPI serial communication is between one master and a single slave. ESP32 devices comming from different manufacturers often have hooked up their own SPI peripherals controlled by their dedicated firmware.

On the Pinout Diagram they are noting: "Pins with the red arrow are used by the on-board OLED or LoRa, they must not be used for any other purpose unless you konw what you are doing! Here is a picture how they have done it:. Many thanks for your response. Unfortunately I don't have a drill so I can't enforce I2C mode. I've tried to change the code to use SPI instead.Your browser does not seem to support JavaScript.

And I think that your function was not declared above in your code or from what I saw this function and made for an ESP. Might give me more direction of where the issue is. Trying via VScode, supposed to be easier for casual programer like myself. And I think it's your function that is not handled by the M5Stack librairy. Hi Zathras0That seems a weird error to get from running M5Stack's simple Hello sketch which does not include a poweroff function.

Also I don't know the "ResetReason" sketch that you referred to. Where did you find this? If you don't have files there go to M5Stack setup guide and install them. The M5Stack should be set here as the board you are using. Just to clarify, as I understand it, the issue is that not all functions available on Arduino or ESP boards are available at present on ESP32 boards in general - eg: analogWrite.
